Sample Collection
Michelson Laboratories, Inc. recognizes that sample collection is an
integral part of the analytical process. In addition to years of
practical experience, our Sample Collection staff has been fully
trained according to FDA, USDA, MICA, and other established
guidelines. Following these guidelines, we employ the finest tools
and a dedicated workforce to ensure that accurate samples are
collected, stored, preserved, and labeled according to proper
standards.
Our specially equipped Collection vehicles are outfitted with
effective communication technology and our scheduling procedures are
tailored to handle both routine and emergency pickups.
For customers who collect their own samples, Michelson Laboratories'
Sample Department provides specialized services designed to help
enhance and simplify the collection process. Of course, appropriate
sample collection and preservation procedures are essential to
producing quality analytical data. Therefore, Michelson
Laboratories' clients have a choice of several service options.
We offer:
Instruction on sample preservation, holding times, and use of
proper containers
Instruction on the processing, distributing, and tracking of
laboratory samples
Sample containers, preservatives, and supplies necessary for
sample collection
Delivery of sample containers to customer site
Chain of custody forms and other necessary documentation
Technical direction on meeting regulatory requirements and
maintaining sample integrity
Assistance with sampling techniques, if needed
Labeling Complete and accurate data on work orders will
significantly expedite entry of samples into the labs information
management system and ensure prompt processing. The label on each
sample should provide detailed identification of content and should
also be referenced on the work order. Samples containing potentially
high levels of toxic materials must be clearly labeled to protect
both laboratory personnel and instrumentation.
Michelson Laboratories, Inc. is committed to ensuring all your
samples adhere to government standards as they flow through the
collection, retention, and labeling process. |
