DRINKING WATER Michelson Laboratories, Inc. is certified by the
California Department of Health Services to perform a variety of
analyses on drinking water samples. Our 20,000 square foot facility
houses an array of advanced equipment designed to conduct these
tests. In microbiology our laboratory professionals routinely
conduct “water potability” analysis that determines the level of
general bacteria (heterotrophic plate count) and Coliform in a water
sample using the Standard Methods of analysis for Water (SMWW)
protocol. We can take this analysis a step further by using our
Vitek identification unit. The Vitek automates the biochemical
identification of various bacteria in drinking water and generates
data that can identify specific bacteria types.
In addition to our microbiological capabilities with drinking water,
we also perform a variety of chemical analyses in our vast wet
chemistry and instrumentation departments including volatile organic
compounds (VOCs), total dissolved solids (TDS), residual chlorine,
metals, general physicals and others.
Along with testing services we provide consulting and advise clients
on a number of topics including how to properly collect samples for
microbiological and chemical analyses and which containers and
preservatives are required for particular tests. We also have an
in-house courier department that can assist with your sampling and
sample pickup needs. |
