METALS
At Michelson Laboratories, Inc., the Metals Group tests for common
minerals and metals utilizing state-of-the-art analytical procedures
and technology, including the TJA TraceScan ICP-AES instrument.
A recognized leader in trace-level analysis, the Metals Group
designs and implements both field and analytical projects based on
methods prescribed by the AOAC and the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA).
The ICP Technique also identifies Low Detection Limits of mineral
metals in foods at the part-per-billion level. This technique
precisely tests for not only metals (Ca, Fe, Na, K and Mg), but also
provides trace-level determination of inorganic boron, phosphorus,
iodine, silica and others.
Detection of heavy metals in challenging matrices, such as those
found in the food, herbal, cosmetic, and health product industries
can be achieved by using the Microwave Digestion System (Model
MDS-81D). This is a special purpose microwave system designed for
laboratory use in digesting, dissolving, extracting, drying, or
ashing a wide range of materials.
Michelson Laboratories, Inc also offers lead analysis for FDA
detained ceramics and earthenware by acid leeching methodology.
The CPI ModBlock TM was designed for use with both environmental and
food applications in mind. It incorporates a state-of-the-art PID
control system that provides precise temperature control. It meets
many AOAC and EPA methodology requirements.
The BUCK Model 400A Mercury Analyzer System is a complete system
used to find mercury in many matrices using the Cold Vapor Atomic
Absorption technique.
At Michelson Laboratories, Inc our technicians stay abreast of the
most current techniques and governmental requirements so our
customers can feel secure about the accuracy and completeness of our
metal testing results.
